National Championship - Mary DeScenza

Mary truly deserves the Kiphuth High Point Award at Nationals. Every time you look at the blocks, she was ready for the next race. Some sessions she only had one event to rest before her next. Mary suprised spectators with her 500yard Freestyle win. She blew out the competition and set her All-Time Personal Best Time in the long distance swim. Way to go Mary!

National Championship - Peter Marshall

Peter Marshall was right at home in Atlanta, his hometown during the competition. Peter swims the backstroke and sprint freestyle. At Nationals, Peter put on a show for his hometown crowd by winning the 100yard Backstroke. This year he won 2 Gold Medals at the 2007 Pan American Games. We look forward to getting to know this Stanford grad!

National Championship - Micha Burden

Meet Micha Burden! She is the most recent swimmers of our TYR community. She is the TOP RANKED US FEMALE in the 10K Open Water event. She will go to Seville in April to fight for a spot at the Olympics Open Water 10K event. She is one of two Americans that can earn a seat for the United States. She trains in Mission Viejo with Coach Bill Rose. Welcome aboard Micha!

Erik Vendt focuses for his mile swim. Driven, determined and dangerous. That's Vendt! He goes on to win the event laps ahead of the other lanes.

National Championship - Matt Grevers

TYR athlete Matt Grevers takes time from his full packed schedule to sit with Erin and Mary. On Day Two of competition, Matt swam three different events and took the top seed in two. That night he won the 100yard Butterfly. This is a face to remember.

Fun facts about Matt - (1) he stands 6'8", the tallest member of the TYR family (2) his sister, brother and mother are all swim coaches! (3) he gave up the chilly Chicago weather to train in Tucson this year. Welcome to the team Matt!

Robert Margalis - Finnish Open Grand Prix

Robert Margalis stands proud with fellow competitors after he won Gold in the 400m Freestyle at the Finnish Open Grand Prix. He is getting ready for US National Championship in Atlanta at the end of the month.

Welcome Baby Zimmer

Matt Zimmer and his wife welcome baby Colette Riker at 7 lbs and 1 oz. Not too long their little girl will be swimming and modeling in our TYR catalogs just like her father. Congratulations!!

After the Huntington Beach film crew filmed our warehouse, the camera keep rolling to the front of our building. Matt, Sarah and Jill launched their acting debut. Lights, Camera, Action!!

The City of Huntington Beach selected TYR as one of the Surf City's Top Companies. A film crew came out to TYR to video for their promotional DVD that will run on the City of Huntington Beach website. Maria, Paul (AKA P2), Jake and Tony starred in the video showing how they work together as a team.

Owner Joe DiLorenzo stands in pride with Tiffany Meng and Steve Furniss. We are excited that our team from New York could join us for our Halloween celebrations!

The Olympic Rings symbolize five continents joining together for good ole sporting fun. It's the one athletic competition every four years that all nations join together.

Open Water World Trials


With his astonishing win, Mark Warkentin is ranked as the top American contender for a spot for the Olympic open water event. He'll earn a spot by placing in the top 10 in either two events: FINA World Championship in April or FINA Olympic Marathon Qualifer in June. Way to go Mark!

Olympic Open Water Venue


The Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park is the Olympic venue for the open water 10K event. This is the first time open water swimming will be an Olympic event. History in the making!

Kona Ironman World Championship

TJ Tollakson competes in his first Kona Championship. As you see, he enjoyed every step of the most recognized and elite Ironman race. This is true passion for sport.

Olympic Trials Countdown


The Olympic Trials will kick off on June 29, 2008. The countdown is on, right Matt! The entire city of Omaha is getting fired up for the biggest domestic swimming event of the year.

Can You Feel it?

The Qwest Omaha arena will transform into to 50meter pool. Hard to imagine the rink will be covered with gallons of water and thousands of cheering fans.

In the Zone

Swimmers and fans will take a break at the Qwest Omaha Convention Center, located right next to the swimming venue. There will be an Aqua Zone and media rooms at the Convention Center. The TYR hotel is just blocks away from the competition pool and Qwest.

You can see our TYR all around the pool from the flags to the banners at the Lebanon swim meet. Spectators watch from the balconies to get a part of the poolside fun.

With all of the political unrest in Lebanon, it's heartwarming to see kids still being kids. Our Lebanese partner gets TYR involved to support the local swim meet.

CSI Miami - Aqua Shift


Here's another fun segment of CSI Miami featuring our Aqua Shift Full Body. The CSI producer got the concept for the Aqua Shift photo shoot after TYR told them that we were planning our Tracer Light shoot.

The intro to CSI Miami was full of TYR gear. You'll see our Diamondback with Stripping, Microback in lime green, Alliance jammers, TYR caps and goggles. Great TYR presence!

2008 Triathlon Photo Shoot


Our triathletes, Pip Taylor, TJ Tollakson and Jamie Whitmore participated in our photo shoot at a studio in Huntington Beach. They were gracious enough to slip away from training for the Los Angeles Triathlon. The TYR Tri elite wore our 2008 Triathlon Collection. They loved the new Triathlon line especially the fit and the new colors.

Interbike Athlete Signing - TJ Tollakson


TJ will be competing at his first Ironman World Championship in just 2 weeks. He's one of the up and coming triathletes in the sport of triathlon. At the Florida 70.3 Ironman, he set the race's bike record and finished as the top American.

Interbike Athlete Signing - Becky Lavelle


Becky Lavelle joined the Interbike team for a day of autograph signings. She is a great sport. At times, there were some interesting fans requesting pictures with her.

To our surprise, a few days after she left Las Vegas, she competed at the Tinley's Triathlon. She rocked it! She won the event while our male triathlete Greg Remaly won the men's event. This lines Becky up for a strong chance to win the overall Tri Cal Series. She also won Wildflower and Pacific Grove Triathlon. Last year, she won the Tri Cal Series.

Interbike - Models


TYR models showed off the new line. Lively new colors and technical features. It will be a strong line.

Ryan's a natural in front of the camera! Competitor Magazine TV did a segment on the new 2008 Tracer Light technical piece.

TYR's booth at Interbike was impressive. We had a great location right near the front of the show. You can get lost at the show, since it's so big. Luckily, TYR had a banner hanging from the ceiling to easily locate the booth.
